Burning Feathers Magazine is the literary magazine of the British international section of Evariste Galois in Noisy-Le-Grand.


Burning Feathers is currently open for submissions for our first issue. The theme of the issue is the power of a voice.


This call closes on the 12th of February.
Submissions should be sent to this email:


We aim to publish anglophone writing and art in the following categories: poetry, prose fiction, non-fiction, and visual arts. Guidelines for each category are as follows:

Poetry : No more than three poems per submissions. There is no line limit per poem.

​Prose fiction: No more than one story per submission. No word limit.

Non-fiction: No more than one text per submission. No word limit.

Visual arts: No more than 2 jpeg files per submission.

The subject of your email should read "[SUBMISSION - CATEGORY] title of your piece".

 For example, "[SUBMISSION - POETRY] Two poems" or "[SUBMISSION - NONFICTION] What activism means to me".

In the body of the email please include a short cover letter and a writer bio (60 words max).

Attach your texts as pdfs or .docx documents.

You can submit in multiple categories assuming the guidelines are respected.


Emails not respecting the guidelines will not be read.
